"Sunset on Gastineau Channel"

"Sunset on Gastineau Channel" is an oil painting of another beautiful setting in Alaska.  In this moment, the sun was caught reflecting itself in the cool waters as it set over the incredible mountains in the background. Low tide in the channel provided pools of water and bars of sand and marsh to create a composition that holds interest.  A truly lovely place and painting - one of my personal favorites, also featured in American Art Collector magazine.  This painting evokes a sense of calmness and appreciation of natural beauty - two things we need more of in today's world.
