Gulf Sun

When the sun sets over the Gulf in Florida it is spectacular.  There is a fleeting moment before the blazing circle drops below the horizon that is magical if you can catch it at the exact time the sun just disappears.  This painting is oil on linen and is my favorite subject matter - waves and water at sunset.  Although the style of the painting is realistic, the fiery sun appears 3 dimensional and lends the painting a slightly contemporary look.  And yes, it is right in the middle of the show - as it should be....                                    Museum quality giclee on canvas available.
